What is your personal relationship to or connection with mindfulness?
Personally, I began to meditate around the age of 16-17 to manage stress and anxiety. My connection with mindfulness extended off of my cushion and into my daily life - I found a passion for yoga, breathwork, and self-awareness. I pursued my M.Ed. in counselling psychology with the aspiration to share my connection with mindfulness with folks around me.
What is your professional work? As this is a mindfulness-based professional's network we require each member to disclose his or her profession (i.e. teacher, psychotherapist, MD, lawyer, etc.)

Using mindfulness-based techniques in professional work
I work as a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) at the Ottawa Mindfulness Clinic. I completed my M.Ed. in counselling psychology in 2018, with a specialization in mindfulness-based interventions in therapy. I'm also a certified Mindfulness-Based Symptom Management (MBSM) teacher, with foundational-level training in Mindful Self-Compassion and Mindfulness-informed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
