What is your personal relationship to or connection with mindfulness?
I have been practicing mindfulness since 1996 when I took a stress reduction course in Kingston. I try to meditate on a regular basis and have attended two retreats at True North Insight in Arnprior the past two years. Two years ago I took a course at the Ottawa Mindfulness Clinic.
What is your professional work? As this is a mindfulness-based professional's network we require each member to disclose his or her profession (i.e. teacher, psychotherapist, MD, lawyer, etc.)
I am a social worker who counsels high school students with various mental health difficulties.
Using mindfulness-based techniques in professional work
I have encouraged clients to use mindfulness principles, and use the practice of breathing.
