Profile Information

What is your personal relationship to or connection with mindfulness?
I have a personal mindfulness practice and work as a mindfulness-based psychotherapist and group facilitator. I started with a Goenka 10 day retreat in 2004 and have worked to maintain a daily practice (on and off) since then. I worked as the Director of the Mindfulness Clinic in Toronto from 2009 and 2016. I also was the chair of the Mindfulness Toronto Steering Committee for a time in 2011. As a Mindfulness teacher, I was mentored by Dr. Paul Kelly in MBCT and Mindfulness-based psychotherapy. Also, Michael Stone, Kate Kitchen and Bill Gaynor were significant teachers. These days my teachers are more virtual - Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield and Joseph Goldstein.
What is your professional work? As this is a mindfulness-based professional's network we require each member to disclose his or her profession (i.e. teacher, psychotherapist, MD, lawyer, etc.)
