What is your personal relationship to or connection with mindfulness?
I've been meditating for many years and have recently started to deepen my own understanding of mindfulness through the teachings of Pema Chodron and Jon Kabat-Zinn.
What is your professional work? As this is a mindfulness-based professional's network we require each member to disclose his or her profession (i.e. teacher, psychotherapist, MD, lawyer, etc.)
Currently I work as a finance manager; however, I have recently renewed my Doula training and am working towards certification.
Using mindfulness-based techniques in professional work
It is my intention to open a doula practice that incorporates both assisting in labour and delivery and offers some form of mindfulness training and counselling so that new parents have the tools to support themselves and each other and their children long term.
