What is your personal relationship to or connection with mindfulness?
I started practicing mindfulness just over a year ago and a half ago. I now practice twice a day and participate in retreats when I can. I have completed a Teacher Training Foundations of Mindfulness offered by the Ottawa Mindfulness Clinic and the Meditation & Mindfulness Teacher Training offered by the School of Positive Transformation.
What is your professional work? As this is a mindfulness-based professional's network we require each member to disclose his or her profession (i.e. teacher, psychotherapist, MD, lawyer, etc.)
I'm currently an employment consultant, am a wellness consultant and a life coach.
Using mindfulness-based techniques in professional work
I started teaching relaxation skills to my clients to help them prepare for job interviews. I plan on adding a mindfulness component to this as well. I am mindful at work as best I can be, and when I'm with more challenging clients, I practice mindfulness.
