What is your personal relationship to or connection with mindfulness?
I have had a committed daily sitting practice for the last 6 years and I see mindfulness as being an important part of my life. I have deep gratitute for the practice and consider it a gift to myself, my family and my community.
What is your professional work? As this is a mindfulness-based professional's network we require each member to disclose his or her profession (i.e. teacher, psychotherapist, MD, lawyer, etc.)
I am a registered psychologist and a contract instructor at Carleton University.
Using mindfulness-based techniques in professional work
I use Mindulness Integrated CBT as my main therapeutic intervention. I also teach a course on mindfulness and well-being at Carleton Univerity and I train other therapists in MiCBT.
