Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behavior Therapy (MiCBT) for Wellbeing and Growth was developed by Dr. Bruno Cayoun of the MiCBT Institute in Australia http://www.mindfulness.net.au/.
This eight session training in the Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behavioral Training methods will be taught be Dr. Kimberly Sogge, CPsych Registered Psychologist (M.Ed. McGill, Ph.D. Texas A&M University) and mindfulness meditation teacher (Spirit Rock Mindfulness Yoga and Meditation Teacher Program MYMT3).
The MiCBT course will take place as follows: 1.5 hour weekly sessions at the Ottawa Collaborative Care Centre 102 Lewis Street
Ottawa, ON K2P 0S7.
The time of the course will be 8:05pm to 9:35pm weekly.
MiCBT session dates are 02/01/2017, 02/08/2017, 02/15/2017, (no class 02/22/2017), 03/01/2017, 03/08/2017, 03/15/2017, 03/22/2017 and 03/29/2017.
The 8 sessions comprising MiCBT for Wellbeing and Health will begin February 1, 2017. Sessions will provide an environment where formal and informal mindfulness practice can be supported, the transformative power of mindfulness skills can be applied to stuck habits and interpersonal interactions, and questions about practice can be answered.
This training in MiCBT for Wellbeing and Health is a place where you can work on potentially life-changing skills and get skillful support that can supplement the work you do in therapy or other personal transformation practice. Registrants understand that registration in the course is for personal development purposes and does not constitute a professional qualification for offering MiCBT as a professional intervention with others.
