Our Autumn 2018 Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MiCBT) Group will be led by Psychologist Dr. Kimberly Sogge, CPsych. MiCBT will assist participants to:
Develop focus and equanimity
Challenge fears and avoidant behaviors
Reduce reactivity and emotional suffering
Increase body awareness
Cultivate lovingkindness for yourself and others
Develop self respect based on personal ethics
Re-commit to a life of vitality.
MiCBT integrates the development of systematic mindfulness meditation with the best practices of cognitive behavioral therapy developed in Western medicine. This 8 week course provides professional, caring guidance in developing the skill sets for overcoming stuck patterns in your life.
The MiCBT course will take place as follows: 2.0 hour weekly sessions at Ottawa River Psychology Group (former Sogge & Associates) on 44 Hawthorne Avenue near Pretoria Bridge in Ottawa
The time of the course will be 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Thursdays September 13, 20, (no class Sept 27), October 4, 11, 18, 25, (No class November 1), November 8, 15.
