Event Description

PULSE! Rhythm & Wellness presents an interactive evening exploring the links between drumming and positive mental, social and physical health.

Hosted in partnership with Baobab Community and Sandy Hill Community Health Centre, this interactive evening includes:  a brief hands-on drumming workshop, presentation of recent research “Drumming Up Health” by Kathy Armstrong, panel discussion and Q&A with guest speakers from arts, education, healthcare, and community development, including special guest Mama Adzorhlor III, Queen Mother from the village of Dagbamete, Ghana; performances by the Baobab Youth Performers, and a reception.

Admission: Freewill donation to support Baobab’s subsidized arts programming for children and youth.
